For my annotations I would like to speak about what I believe I could’ve done if I had the proper skills and I hope to learn for my future projects. First, in terms of equipment next time I will use the proper cameras to be able to catch the eerie dark grey daylight I was looking to capture in my scenes. Additionally, in terms of the monster I would have enjoyed being able to properly animate a monster instead of having to draw it myself although it gives a more authentic look to my work I would’ve enjoyed making a 3D moveable monster or some kind of Stop Motion animation for it. In terms of audio which is not my strong suit I focused on natural sound with a lot diegetic sound such as the kettle boiling or the shower being turned on this was done to heighten the audiences senses and put them on edge with eerie silence. Additionally, the sound of the radio of screen was to give a nice backing noise for my scenes at the beginning. Other than this I added loud deep sea radar sounds every time the dark doorway was shown to represent the theme of it being a horror and made this a constant theme throughout. I hope to become better at finding sounds and music to heighten the experience of my films. I feel that my camera angles were good with a broad variety but with some incorporation of camera movement it would’ve made them even better. Overall, I am happy as I pushed myself out of my comfort zone with a film like this.
